Our Puppies

Here at Vanaheim we take pride in every litter we produce. Our litters are meticulously planned with a strong focus on the puppies' health, temperament, vitality, and longevity. All parent dogs undergo thorough health testing before breeding, whether they are located in New Zealand or if we utilize imported frozen semen via artificial insemination.

 

All puppies are 

 

• Veterinary health checked at 8 weeks.

• Wormed & have their first Vaccination

• Microchipped

• Independently temperament assessed by a qualified dog trainer.

• Registered with DogsNZ (New Zealand Kennel Club).

• Come with a Free Puppy Pack and Starter bag of food.

• Our puppies also come with 6 weeks of free pet insurance.

 

In our breeding program, we prioritize not only temperament and soundness but the health and well-being of our dogs. We have made significant investments in importing dogs and purchasing semen from Sweden, the UK, USA, and Australia, allowing us to select from a variety of genetically diverse, healthy bloodlines.

 

Our puppies are raised in a vibrant household, ensuring they are well socialized before leaving to live with their new families.

 

We encourage prospective owners to share details about themselves and their home, as well as their interest in the breed, to help us find the perfect match for both our puppies and their future families.

 

Additionally, we sometimes have older dogs or retired bitches seeking loving forever homes.  All our dogs are house trained, have basic obedience and are well-loved. If circumstances change, our no-questions-asked re-homing policy ensures our Vallhunds always have a place to return too.
